Vinnie started accordion lessons at age five (in 1952). He has played in front of audiences most of his life, beginning at an early age when he began playing at this parent’s bar & grille in New Haven.
His first television appearance was at age six at WNHC-TV in New Haven, CT. Although Vinnie’s basic studies included classical music, Vinnie learned to enjoy popular music at an early age and ‘pop’ quickly became his genre of choice. He could be found at an early age growing up in the Italian neighborhood of Wooster Square singing on street corners.
He continued with his love for music by performing regularly at the Officer’s Club while enrolled in the United States Army. While still in the Army, Vinnie decided it was time to form his own band (at age 19) and shortly thereafter he played lounges, nightclubs, and floor shows on a regular basis throughout the 60’s. Vinnie spent time in Brooklyn, NY playing with a variety of music-industry legends.
Vinnie has appeared with numerous groups over the years doing his renowned oldie’s show. He’s made concert appearances with the Crest, Danny and the Juniors, the Impalas, the Five Satins, Joey Dee and the Starlighters, the Drifters, the Classics, Kenny Vance and the Planotones, the Mytics, and the Passions. He has also appeared with Frank Sinatra Jr., Jack Carter, Pat Cooper and Brian Dennehy just to name a few.
To this day, Vinnie keeps busy entertaining all ages. In addition to his numerous regular performances, Vinnie regularly performs at benefits for a variety of organizations.
